Thanksgiving 2013

I took a class and made enough Halloween cards this year – meaning the next holiday I need cards for is Thanksgiving.  I started with a sketch, and basically kept to it except for the perfect pearls technique I was going to do with the turkey.  The card turned out more “country” and the perfect pearls just looked out of place.

Since I make eight copies of each holiday card that I do, I start by cutting all the paper, then stamping all parts.  My final step on this card was cutting out all the acorns from grunge paper and painting them with crackle paint.  They really turned out so cute (all sixteen of them)!  Bonus: while the acorns dried, I got to watch some football!

While it is a little early to mail the cards – I am sharing the card now in case anybody needs ideas for their turkey day cards.
