Butterfly Thank You

I have a really simple card today, one that you can make with just one sheet of white cardstock and a few “tools”!  First thing you do is cut a piece of the cardstock to 8.5” X 5.5” and fold to form the card base.  Emboss the front of the card base with the Swiss Dots Sizzix embossing folder.

From the remaining cardstock, cut a piece 4” X 4.5”.  Using the Hero Arts Shadow Inks, stamp the butterfly frame four times onto the cardstock – and trim around the outside edge.
Using the spellbinders die – cut a small piece of leftover cardstock, stamp your sentiment and emboss as well (using the Swiss Dots embossing folder). Then taking the craft nibs from Ranger – dip them into the various inks and color lines of dots on the embossed surfaces of both the card base and sentiment die cut.  Here is a big hint – only color the areas that will be seen on the card – just a little tidbit I learned at the online card classes I’ve mentioned here before.
Then on the last remaining scrap of paper, I stamped the single butterfly – inking up the stamp with all of the inks used on the card (starting with the lightest to the darkest to prevent ink transfer onto the stamp pad).  I cut out the butterfly and layered it to the sentiment die cut.
Adhere all components, layering with foam squares.  Just for fun – to finish off the card – I stamped the butterfly stamp inside the card using soft sand ink, added bling for the trail behind the butterfly and tied a piece of bakers twine to the front of the card.
I would only comment that next time I would not emboss the sentiment portion of the card – seems a little busy.  Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
