"Gringa" on a Limb

The card today is actually a concept taken directly from Nellie at http://www.stamperscorner.net/  (Elk Grove, CA).  Nellie came up with the original, decidedly masculine, Gringo in one of her card classes.  I naturally fell in love with the little Iguana – and had to buy the stamp.  While making my purchase, Nellie pondered – “wouldn’t it be cute to put a little bow on Gringo’s head and make a little female Iguana” – so off we went in search of appropriate paper and ribbon.  If you are near the Elk Grove area and need to find just the right piece of paper – Nellie is the woman to seek out – she has what would be described as “mad skills”!
I am sure there is an easier way to do the layering on Gringa, I just did lots of layering and fussy cutting.  When done – I covered the leaves and eyes in Glossy Accents, slapped a tiny little bow on her head and drew some eyelashes.
So here is my take on Gringa, and all thanks to Nellie.
